Blackburn Rovers could potentially have two prominent squad numbers available to new signings this summer.
Whilst the importance of 1-11 has diminished in the 21st century, there is something satisfying about seeing a new signing with the correct number for their position.
Blackburn Rovers do not have any irritating allocations, though it would be nice if Yuri Ribeiro would allow number four, which he inherited from Kyle McFadzean in January, to be redistributed.
Nonetheless, there are several numbers available to Blackburn Rovers' new faces from players who are departing this summer.

If Tyrhys Dolan doesn't renew, the number 10 will be available for the first time since 2021/22. The Rovers ace took the shirt from Lewis Holtby but it could be passed down the line again if he doesn't renew his contract.
Number seven if also available after the mid-season exit of Arnor Sigurdsson. That might interest Dion De Neve, a winger, though he wore number 11 at his former club Kortrijk, which is held by Joe Rankin-Costello.
Higher up the chain, numbers 14 and 15 could become free if Andi Weimann and Danny Batth don't renew their terms either. Number 13 and 18 are the other 10-20 numbers available, last worn by Joe Hilton and Dilan Markanday.
Zak Gilsenan (22), Owen Beck (24), Adam Forshaw (28) and Jack Vale (29) will leave behind early to late 20s. 26 has been available since Sam Barnes departed last summer and 25 could be too if Jake Batty doesn't stay at the club.
Above that, returning loanees such as Dion Sanderson, Amario Cozier-Duberry, Emmanuel Dennis and Cauley Woodrow leave 31, 33, 42 and 45 behind them.
There is also the possibility of some players upgrading. Augustus Kargbo might fancy the number 7 after adopting 47 in January, though that would spoil the 'AK47'.
