Felix Goddard has become the first player to renew his contract at Blackburn Rovers this summer.
The goalkeeper was one of five players offered fresh terms with his current deal set to expire at the end of June. He has committed his future for a further two years, with the option of another.
The 21-year-old joined Rovers from Manchester City in 2020. He's spent loans at Lancaster City, Bamber Bridge, Marine, Dundalk and Ebbsfleet United.
With Jordan Eastham leaving and Joe Hilton departing in January, Goddard will keep Rovers' number healthy in the goalkeeping department. Fellow Under-21 shot-stopper, Jack Barrett, also renewed his terms last month.

“I’m very pleased and very grateful to extend my stay here at this great club for another two years,” he said.
“I’ve been here for around five years now and I’ve really enjoyed my time here. I’ve learnt a lot and I’ve grown both as a footballer and as a person.
“I’m very grateful to have two great goalie coaches in Ben Benson and Chris Renshaw, and for their continued support and belief in me.
“Last season was a tough one for me, for a variety of reasons, but a lot of learning took place, which is all I can really ask for. I want to continue to learn and grow each day, and that’s what I intend to do over the next two years.
“I’ll take each day as it comes, push myself, work hard and just get the most out of every single session. So I’m really grateful to sign this new contract and I’m looking forward to what the future has in store for me.”
Rovers are still awaiting a breakthrough with Danny Batth, Andi Weimann and Tyrhys Dolan, the three senior out-of-contract players. Jake Batty is the other player they want to keep after an encouraging loan at Accrington Stanley.
