Former Rovers defender Amari’i Bell is departing Luton Town at the end of his deal this summer following relegation from the Championship.

Bell arrived at Ewood Park from Fleetwood in January 2018 and was part of the squad that won promotion from League One under Tony Mowbray.

The Jamaican international went on to make 99 appearances for the club before he was let go in the summer of 2021, signing a deal at Kenilworth Road to stay in the second tier.

Bell made 31 league starts for Luton this season as the Hatters finished in the bottom three, suffering back-to-back relegations.

He played 157 times for the club in total, helping secure promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs in 2022/23.

Bell started the final at Wembley and made 21 league appearances the following season in the top flight.

Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu, Tim Krul, Jameson Horlick and Victor Moses are also departing at their end of their respective deals as the club prepares for next season in the third tier.

Options have been triggered to extend the deals of Liam Walsh and Jack Walton for a further 12 months.

Tom Lockyer is out of contract but will continue his rehabilitation with the club as he recovers from ankle surgery.

Luton forward Cauley Woodrow spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Ewood Park.

The Hatters also say they are in “ongoing discussions with individual players regarding their futures” following relegation.

A statement read: “We thank all of the players who are leaving us for their service to the club at all levels and wish them the very best for their future careers.”
