Here’s how The Lancashire Telegraph scored the players’ performances, with a six representing par for the course.

BALAZS TOTH - 7

First start in a couple of months. Made a vital save to deny Alli from close range in the first half but had a couple of nervy moments from crosses.

KRISTI MONTGOMERY - 6

A cruel ending to his full debut but he couldn’t really have any complaints with the second booking after Alli got in behind with a lovely touch.

DOM HYAM - 8

Won some important headers up against the physical threat of Morris as Rovers faced a barrage of crosses into the box at times.

DANNY BATTH - 8

Also dealt with the constant crosses well and made some important blocks as Rovers soaked up pressure.

YURI RIBEIRO - 7

Played his role in a resilient effort across the backline to secure a timely clean sheet on the road.

LEWIS TRAVIS - 7

Battled hard in the middle of the pitch and did well to stay disciplined after picking up a booking midway through the first half.

SONDRE TRONSTAD - 7

Also worked hard in the middle and carried out some important defensive work to protect the backline behind him.

TYRHYS DOLAN – 7

Looked dangerous on the break at times and put in a real shift tracking back after the red card. Had half a chance to wrap up the result in stoppage time but was denied by Kaminski.

TODD CANTWELL – 6

Didn't have many opportunities to get on the ball and dictate play during the first half. Was sacrificed to shore up the defence after the sending off.

RYAN HEDGES - 7

Lovely ball through to Ohashi for the goal and provided plenty of energy during the first hour before making way.

YUKI OHASHI – 7

Feeding off scraps in the first half but only needed one chance to make his mark after the break, producing a composed finish past Kaminski.

Subs: Sanderson (61, for Cantwell), Forshaw (66, for Hedges), Gueye (78, for Ohashi)
