David Lowe was delighted with the application of his Blackburn Rovers player as they saw off Plymouth Argyle.
Rovers had to be patient but made the breakthrough on 55 minutes with Adam Forshaw scoring his first for the club. Tyrhys Dolan then wrapped the points up with 15 minutes remaining.
It's back-to-back wins and clean sheets this week since Lowe took the reigns from the departed John Eustace. The interim head coach was pleased with the patience his players showed and their attacking play, especially in the second half.
"I'm feeling really pleased, but more importantly, I'm feeling really pleased for the club and obviously for the players and the fans and the staff," Lowe said.

"It's been a hectic few days as everyone knows, but I think the players have applied themselves brilliantly and I'm really pleased that they gave a good show for the fans today at Ewood.

"Obviously, it is difficult as alluded to earlier on in the week regarding when managers come and go and so forth but they've been fantastic. They've adopted a strong mentality, a positive mentality.
"No one's really soaked about the situation. We've all worked together on the grass and they're getting the rewards and now I think it's really important that they kick on from now until the end of the season."
Blackburn Rovers are stepping up their search for a new head coach and now have a free week before travelling to Swansea City. It gives the club some breathing room and it's expected they will make progress towards an appointment before the trip to South Wales.
"No, nothing yet. Obviously, the guys have got Sunday and Monday off and then will come back to work on Tuesday and that's all we're preparing for at the moment," Lowe updated.
"Obviously, as the week gets longer and gets closer to Swansea shall we say, we'll be looking to prepare for them until we're told otherwise.
"I'm not 100% sure of the situation regarding the new manager coming in. It is (a good situation) and also you've got a passionate group of players as well who want to work and improve and also you've got a really good backroom staff as well who want to work and work with enthusiasm.
"So I think it's an ideal situation for someone. The team are going to a really decent position now and it's all to play for."
