John Eustace has confirmed that Blackburn Rovers have launched a bid to sign a player whilst confirming Kyle McFadzean is now talking to another club about an exit.
In terms of reinforcements, Rovers are still trying to land a striker and a left winger as their priorities. Whilst Eustace couldn't confirm whether anything was progressing towards a positive outcome, he did add that a bid had been made for a player.
"I don't know really. I know the club are working very hard and that's all I can ask for and hopefully, we can get some new faces in sooner rather than later," Eustace said.
"I think we're all on the same page. I think that ultimately the group that we've got have been excellent up to now.

"Everyone connected with the football club, as I've said already, the fans, the players, the staff, we want to bring top quality in to help the push and that's what we want and hopefully we can do that.
"I think there's been a bid for one player. I don't know how that's turned out but apart from that I'm not sure about anything else.
"The quicker you can get the players in, the better. Obviously, when O-Chan gets injured, that puts a little bit more pressure on bringing in a forward player as well.
I know the club are working hard on getting the right players in, so hopefully we can get that sorted. "It doesn't concern me (club's recent record).
"I know the club are working hard to get the right players in, so I think it's just very, very evident that we need to improve the team, improve the squad. That's what everyone's waiting for."
The Lancashire Telegraph previously reported that Chesterfield are favourites to land the experienced defender. It's understood that remains the case and Eustace confirmed he'd be speaking to another club in the next 48 hours.
He has not been involved in the last two squads due to illness but now will hold talks with the Spireities. It's therefore very likely he has played his last game in a Rovers shirt.
"Fadz has come in today and there's an opportunity for him to move on as well," Eustace said.
"Fadz hasn't been very well for the latter part of last week and over the weekend there were some developments of a club wanting to take him.
"So he'll be talking to that club I think today or tomorrow. So yeah, there will be some small outgoings. I'm not sure (loan or permanent) that will be between the two clubs.
"He's a fantastic professional. Most importantly, he's a fantastic person. It was very important that we re-signed him in the summer.
"I think you can see the effect he's had on the whole group since he's been in the building. What he's done off the pitch this season has been fantastic.
"It's been a frustrating time for him because the two centre-halves have done so well. But he's really helped them and he's helped the younger boys as well. He's somebody that I've got a huge respect for and admiration for. I'm very grateful for the efforts that he put in last season.
"I thought he might have got a few more games. But as I say, the centre-halves have been doing very well. He's somebody that I certainly wanted to keep in the group. But, you know, this is football."
Jake Garrett and Connor O'Riordan are also expected to go out on loan before the month is out. Deals for both to leave Ewood Park are close, says Eustace.
"Yeah, them two will go out on loan again. I think there are a couple of deals that are close with them. It's important they get their minutes for their development."
