Venky’s court case against the Indian Ministry of Finance has been delayed again until March 25.

Rovers’ owners have been embroiled in court battles with the Indian government for over 18 months. It is the fifth time that the Court of Delhi have pushed back the hearing against VHPL, Venky’s parent company, since the start of 2024.

The official documents released state: “The matter could not be taken up today due to paucity of time.”

In the meantime, Venky’s are still able to fund the club but every pound from the owners must be matched into a personal guarantee.

It is not thought that the ongoing legal case will affect Rovers’ transfer business during the January window.

So far, the club have signed defender Dion Sanderson on loan from Birmingham and midfielder Adam Forshaw on a free transfer after the 33-year-old agreed to cancel his contract at Plymouth.

The Lancashire Telegraph previously revealed that Rovers are looking to bring in a striker and winger before the end of the window.
