Ryan Hedges and Amario Cozier-Duberry both returned to Blackburn Rovers training on Monday ahead of facing Portsmouth.

The pair both missed the win at Middlesbrough due to illness, which has been going around the Rovers squad. However, they both took part in the session and will therefore be in contention to play.

Dion Sanderson and Adam Forshaw both met their team-mates for the first time and trained too. Neither have played much football and so are unlikely to be chucked in at the deep end on Wednesday night.

"Hopefully Amario and Hedgey will come back into the squad, they did a little bit on the grass today," Eustace said.

"That's a bonus. We have had a lot of illness flying around the camp this month and it was their turn to get it on Friday. We'll see how they are tomorrow.

"Lewis is still a couple of week away. We have to protect his hamstring, it's the first he's had in that area. We don't want to push him too early but he's a couple of weeks away."

Like Travis, Hayden Carter are expected back at the end of the month, as well as Arnor Sigurdsson. Yuki Ohashi will return in February whilst Harry Pickering and Scott Wharton are longer-term absentees.
