John Eustace wants Arnor Sigurdsson to stay at Blackburn Rovers despite speculation linking him with a move away in January.
The Icelandic forward has been on the sidelines for most of this season and hasn't started a Championship match in 2024/25. His last Rovers start came in March against Middlesbrough.
Sigurdsson's contract is up in 2025 and he has been touted with a move away, both in the summer and now again in January. However, Eustace still believes he can return and contribute for Rovers at the end of the month.
"Before anything, if he was to go anywhere, he needs to train and be on the pitch," Eustace said.

"He started the season injured, he came back and scored an amazing goal against Oxford to help us win the game. He's really struggled with little injuries he keeps picking up.
"Siggy is a top player and we want him to be part of this squad. We want him to win games for us like he did at the start of the season.
"He is still not available for us. I think it'll be closer to the end of January when he is available again. It is a shame for Siggy and it's a shame for us.
"When he's fit, he's a top player so we want to do that and keep him fit to keep pushing. He wants to do well for the football club, he's desperate to.
"He has bought into it and he's a good player. When he's played, he has shown glimpses of top quality. He has still got a point to prove, we spoke a few weeks ago and he wants to do that.
"It's part of the Championship and part of being a professional. Players get injured and then get re-injured. This season, look at Harry Leonard, he had setbacks and now he's fit and progressing."
