John Eustace revealed Andi Weimann and Tyrhys Dolan offered to be on the Blackburn Rovers bench despite injury and illness.

Weimann returned to the matchday squad ahead of schedule having initially be expected to miss at least three weeks due to a knee problem. He was unused, as was Dolan, but put his hand up after 10 minutes of training due to other absences.

The same can be same for Dolan, who wasn't at Brockhall on Friday to avoid spreading his illness. Callum Brittain remained absent due to feeling unwell too.

"Andi hasn't trained at all apart from the last two days, he hasn't even been with the group," Eustace revealed.

"He had 10 minutes on the grass yesterday and because the bench was light he said he'd go on the bench if needed.

"Ty Dolan has had a cold, he wasn't in the training ground yesterday. I woke up this morning and he said he was ready to go on the bench if needed.

"That shows the level of professionalism and commitment the boys are showing. Nobody wants to be out of the squad but we need them, I think we have used 25 players.

"It's very evident that they all know their job, they do it well and that shows in a 46-game season. Everyone will be used, we have the most goals from substitutes. There are no egos at the club and they all fight for each other."
