John Eustace wants Blackburn Rovers to ensure their best players are tied down with several key personnel entering the last six months of their deal.
The likes of Callum Brittain, Lewis Travis and Sondre Tronstad all have deals which expire in the summer of 2026. Dom Hyam and Ryan Hedges' deals are up in 2025 though the club have one-year options on both.
Rovers renewed the deals of seven first-team players in 2023 but have not done any in the last 12 months. Sam Szmodics and Adam Wharton were amongst the last players to pen fresh terms in the final two months of the year.
Both have moved on the Premier League since then but Rovers' proactive negotiations meant they were able to recoup circa £30million in fees.

With Tyrhys Dolan edging out of the door on a free transfer, Rovers must avoid any repeat scenarios with other senior players.
Eustace wants the club to retain their services and reinvest in the squad to ensure they continue to develop and grow.
"I have said that if we want to build this football club, we have to retain as many of our players as possible," Eustace told The Lancashire Telegraph.
"That means making them feel wanted. For the 10 months I have been here, you can see the progression. It is important to keep our best players and add quality to the group to help them too.
"It's been evident over the last few years that when players have been sold, they have gone for big money.
"It's important the players here are developed in the right environment and that they get the right treatment, the right care and they will develop and possibly move on to better things if it's not with Blackburn."
Rovers will be without Todd Cantwell this weekend due to suspension after he collected his fifth yellow card of the season against Sheffield Wednesday.
Callum Brittain is a doubt due to illness but Harry Pickering could return to the squad after taking part in light training on Thursday.
"Yes, we're without Todd now unfortunately but we have used 25 players until now and so when players have missed out, others have come in and stepped up," Eustace said.
"This is what the squad is for, they work hard for their opportunity when it comes.
"We'll have to see on Callum and Harry. Callum is still poorly today, he is getting a bit better and Picks was back on the grass so we will see."
