Aynsley Pears missed Blackburn Rovers' draw with Millwall due to illness whilst Callum Brittain was substituted with a groin injury.

Leopold Wahlstedt was recalled in goal after Pears was unable to play on Tuesday morning. It was the Swedish goalkeeper's first start since mid-January and a blow after Pears' decent form.

Brittian was taken off at half-time due to an issue with his groin. Eustace revealed that the right-back has needed a rest for a while but has pushed through the barrier for Rovers.

"Aynsley was poor this morning, unfortunately," he explained.

"That was a big miss, he's done very well since we came in. Leo came in and I thought was very good tonight.

"He had very limited things to do, just the goal probably. I was happy with his distribution and keeping the back line up."

"Callum is injured, unfortunately," he added. "Callum had just come back from an injury and then played a large amount of games.

"He's going to fatigue. He's looked and felt a bit tired in the last few games. It was a bit of a warning sign at half-time so we had to bring him off.

"It's his groin that stiffened up. We are asking him to go through a lot of games where he needs resting. There are four or five that need resting at the minute but they can't.

"We're against teams with big squads week in, week out and fit players. Full credit to the group of players and the squad that keep going and work their socks off."
