Here's how The Lancashire Telegraph scored the players' performances, with a six representing par for the course.

Aynsley Pears - 7

Didn't have many saves to make but made a crucial block to stop Yates from winning the game for Swansea. First goal was a mess all around.

Dom Hyam - 6

Didn't look comfortable in the opening half an hour but recovered afterwards.

Kyle McFadzean - 5

It looked a little too easy for Paterson to go past him for the second goal, albeit it was given away ahead of him. Subbed at HT as they switched to a back four.

Scott Wharton - 7

Rovers' best defender again. Won his headers and was composed on the ball.

Callum Brittain - 6

Struggled defensively against Placheta but offered a threat in the final third. The final pass or finish was just missing.

Andrew Moran - 4

Played a hand in both of Swansea's goals, with the second particularly poor as he was robbed in possession deep in his own half. Taken off at HT.

John Buckley - 7

Some very good bits and a couple of sloppy moments too. Could've made it 2-2 but his shot was deflected wide. Nice free-kick to assist Szmodics.

Harry Pickering - 5

Didn't have his usual pin-point precision with his passes into team-mates or the box. Didn't get into the final third much.

Tyrhys Dolan - 5

Had a couple of good opportunities at goal but was denied by Rushworth and dragged the other wide.

Sam Szmodics - 7

Got Rovers back into the match with a neat finish from Buckley's free-kick. Didn't see loads of the ball.

Sam Gallagher - 6

Battled up front but a frustrating day. One heavy touch and a last-ditch tackle denied him a clear effort on goal.

Substitutes:

Yasin Ayari (Moran, 45') - 6

Was an improvement on Moran but wasn't as impressive as midweek.

Arnor Sigurdsson (McFadzean, 45') - 6

A few nice touches and Rovers looked more threatening with him on the pitch.

Dilan Markanday (Dolan, 66') - 6

Didn't grab the game by the scruff of the neck as he did in midweek.

Ben Chrisene (Pickering, 66') - 6

Added some fresh legs down the left.

Zak Gilsenan (Buckley, 90') - N/A

On for the final five.

Unused substitutes: Wahlstedt, O'Riordan, Koumetio, Garrett.
