Burnley have announced the signing of French Under-21 internaitonal Han-Noah Massengo on a four-year contract.

The 22-year-old midfielder joins the Clarets after his deal at Bristol City expires over the summer.

Massengo began his youth career at hometown club Villepinte and also had stints at Sevran, Esperance Aulneysienne and Blanc-Mesnil.

He joined Monaco in 2016 and made his senior debut in a Champions League tie against Club Brugge at 17 years of age, becoming the first player born in the 21st century to feature in the famous competition.

The midfielder headed to Bristol City in the summer of 2019 and went on to make more than 100 appearances for the Robins, also having a loan spell at Auxerre during the second half of last term.

Massengo has also represented France from Under-17 to Under-21 levels on the international stage.

“I’m feeling really good. I’ve had talks with the manager and I just wanted to come here straight away," he told the club website.

“The interest was there early and during the summer I just wanted to be here. I could see the manager and club wanted me and I wanted to be a part of it, it meant a lot to me.”

Burnley are back in league action this weekend when they welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Turf Moor.

Vincent Kompany's side will be keen to build on their 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup second round in midweek, with Zeki Amdouni scoring a late winner at the City Ground.
