Burnley have completed the signing of Espanyol prospect Luca Koleosho for an undisclosed fee.

The Italy Under-19 international has put pen to paper over a four-year deal at Turf Moor.

USA-born Koleosho played for Manhattan Kickers as a youngster before moving to Spain and joining Reus.

The 18-year-old headed to Espanyol in 2016 and went on to make five senior appearances in La Liga.

Koleosho represented the United States at Under-15 level and was also called up to Canada’s senior squad prior to his first Italy Under-19 call-up earlier this year.

"It feels amazing to be here. As soon as I got the call from the coach, I knew i wanted to come here,” he told the club website.

"We spoke about the way they would help me improve and get better as a player and I was just excited by it, I can't wait to get started now.”

Meanwhile, Bailey Peacock-Farrell has joined Danish outfit Aarhus on a season-long loan.

The Northern Irish goalkeeper made 16 appearances for the Clarets last term and had also been linked with a return to Sheffield Wednesday, where he spent time on loan in 2021/22.

"It was an exciting opportunity,” he told the club’s YouTube channel. “I had some options elsewhere in England and when I looked, I thought it was a great opportunity to come here and try something new.

“A different experience, a culture, a new league and ultimately test myself and better myself. It was a no-brainer to come here.

"My ambition, like every goalkeeper, is to play as many games as possible. Ultimately, I'm going to come here, train hard, integrate with the group and work hard on the pitch. In the end, it's up to the manager to decide.

"It's a new day today. Meeting loads of new faces and new players and ultimately get to grips with how football is over here. It's a different football, so that in itself is really exciting."
