Supporters will have to wait longer to see summer signing Arnor Sigurdsson in a Rovers shirt for the first time.

Sigurdsson will not be involved in the friendly against Fleetwood Town at the Highbury Stadium tonight (7.30pm). The Iceland international is set to have a scan on a groin issue picked up in training.

Jack Vale also misses out and will have a scan on a hamstring injury suffered during the training camp in Austria.

Meanwhile, Niall Ennis – who joined on a free transfer from Plymouth this summer - is not ready to come into the side.

There is some good news for Rovers though, with Adam Wharton set to be involved after recovering from a muscle injury.

Harry Pickering is also set to return to action after twisting his ankle prior to the games against Hartberg.

Tickets remain on general sale for tonight’s fixture until 12pm and supporters can also pay on the gate, although only card payments will be accepted.

Rovers fans will be located in the Percy Ronson Stand (standing only), although fans with a pre-booked ticket will have the option to sit in a section of the Parkside Stand.

Fleetwood, who are managed by former Celtic midfielder Scott Brown, finished 13th in League One last term.

Brown’s side have already played friendlies against Waterford, Dundee, Hearts and Tranmere since the start of pre-season.

The sides haven’t met since the summer of 2020, when Adam Armstrong bagged as Rovers ran out 4-1 winners. Harry Chapman and Luke Brennan were also on target that day.
