Rovers are to release their home shirt for the 2023/24 season in advance of the opening pre-season friendly.

The club will reveal details of the home shirt on the week commencing July 3, leading into the Stanley fixture on Saturday, July 8.

Rovers will wear the shirt for the first time at the Wham Stadium which is the first of five friendlies currently announced.

Jon Dahl Tomasson and his squad will then head overseas for a week-long training camp which is set to include at least one friendly.

The away shirt will then be revealed on the week commencing July 17, and will be worn for the first time against Fleetwood Town in Rovers’ second domestic friendly on Friday, July 21.

A third shirt will then be revealed ahead of the penultimate friendly against Stockport County on Friday, July 28, with Rovers rounding off their pre-season games schedule the following day at home to Girona.

The Rovers players report back on Tuesday, with the club set to unveil the new line of training wear next week.

It is also expected that the club will unveil details of their front-of-shirt sponsorship before that announcement.

Macron will again be manufacturer of the three shirts, as well as the training wear, having signed a five-year deal in 2021.

The club have upped orders by 25 per cent, after selling out last season.

However, Rovers say ‘an initial limited number’ of each kit will be made available upon the release dates, with the ‘main bulk delivery’ due ahead of the season in early August.

A club statement read: “Rovers can provide supporters with an update regarding release dates for our new 2023/24 kits.

“The 2023/24 season marks the third of our five-year partnership with our official technical kit sponsor and supplier Macron.

“As has been the case for the past two seasons, Rovers will once again have three bespoke playing strips for the upcoming Championship campaign.

“Characterised by exclusive style, design and quality, all three kits will be made available for retail purchase from the Roverstore and www.roverstore.co.uk from next month.

“In order for supporters to get their hands on the new kits as early as possible, an initial limited number of each kit will be made available to buy from next month, with the main bulk delivery of the remaining stock expected to arrive at Ewood Park in early August, ahead of Rovers’ first home league fixture of the season.

“The new 2023/24 training range will be worn and unveiled by the first team squad when they return for pre-season training next week.”
