Here is a round-up of Rovers-related stories.

MOLA ON THE MOVE?

Clinton Mola faces an uncertain future at parent club Stuttgart as they plan a summer overhaul.

The 22-year-old has endured a tough time during his season-long loan spell at Ewood Park, with just six appearances in all.

Mola has featured regularly for the Under-21s in 2023, having not played for the senior side since the Carabao Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest in December.

The loan deal included an option to buy in the summer, which reports in Germany state was 2m Euros.

With Rovers unlikely to trigger that given his lack of game-time, Mola will return to Stuttgart where he has one year left to run on his contract.

Stuttgart, battling to avoid relegation from the Bundesliga 12 months after promotion, are said to be considering the future of the defender amid the prospect of a squad overhaul in the summer.

CADDIS IS BULLS BOSS

Rovers promotion-winner Paul Caddis has been named as the new first-team boss of Hereford FC.

Caddis will officially take charge of the National League North side on May 1, in what his first role as a manager.

Having retired as a player in 2021, the 35-year-old moved into coaching, with roles at both Swindon Town and Fleetwood Town, but he will make his first step into management at Edgar Street.

Caddis played 21 times for Rovers having joined as a free agent following the relegation to League One in 2017.

“I am thrilled to step into the role of manager. It’s an exciting opportunity for me, and I am committed to leaving no stone unturned in order to achieve the success and progression that this club deserves,” Caddis said.

DRY DEEPDALE

No alcohol will be served to Rovers at Deepdale tomorrow, the club have announced.

Rovers have sold in excess of 5,000 tickets for the game which is a 5.30pm kick-off.

Turnstile banks on the Bill Shankly Kop will open at 4pm, and with the search procedures in place, supporters are asked to arrive at the stadium in plenty of time.

The club added: “Following Police instruction, no alcohol will be served on the Bill Shankly Kop concourse either pre-match or at half-time.

“The concourse kiosks will be open, selling a range of hot/cold food and soft drinks. Concourse TVs will show the updates/results as they come in from the 3pm fixtures.

“Please enjoy Saturday's trip to Deepdale in a safe and responsible manner.”

NISBET ADMISSION

Hibs boss Lee Johnson expects speculation to continue over the future of striker Kevin Nisbet given his recent goalscoring exploits.

Nisbet has 10 goals in 14 games since returning from injury in December, with Rovers one of a host of clubs to be reported to be looking at him.

The 26-year-old, whose contract runs until 2024, was the source of interest from Millwall in January, with the Lions having had a bid rejected, only for Nisbet to pull the plug on a potential move.

As interest in him looks to be growing, Johnson said: “I hope the speculation builds because it means he is performing as well as he did on Saturday, I thought he was outstanding - his work rate, obviously the goal.

“I hope he is here beyond the summer but he is attracting a lot of interest, there’s no doubt about that.

“My challenge for him is: ‘Go and do that again on Saturday now, when maybe the atmosphere isn’t quite as intense. We need to go and create that intensity now, and we need that quality from you again and again and again’.

“If he does do that then he probably won’t be here because someone will come in with a big bid that we can’t turn down for someone who has a year left on his contract.”
