Strongman legend Mark Felix will be taking on the crossbar challenge to raise money for Accrington Stanley women to get a minibus.

On Sunday, April 30, Stanley Women take on The Isle of Man National Women's Team in a historic free-to-attend match at The Wham Stadium, which will also include a half-time crossbar challenge.

The crossbar challenge, which is being sponsored by Sundown Solutions, will be led by the world record holder and 18-time World's Strongest Man competitor.

Mark will kick off an attempt at hitting the crossbar, with a successful strike set to secure £10,000 towards a new minibus for the club.

Chair of Accrington Stanley Women, Sami Smithson said: "Firstly I would like to say a massive thank you to Mark Felix for heading up our crossbar challenge. He has just competed in his 18th and final World's Strongest Man competition and we will be honoured to have him with us.

"As a club we are always looking to improve and having our own minibus to travel to away games next season would be fantastic for us.
