STEVE McClaren has held an interview with officials from Blackburn Rovers today with a view to becoming the club's next manager.
The former England boss, who has been out of work since he was sacked by the FA last Autumn, is on Rovers' shortlist of targets to replace Mark Hughes.
McClaren broke off from working at the European Championships and flew into Manchester for a face-to-face meeting with Rovers chairman John Williams.
McClaren apparently felt the talks went well, but he knows the club also intend to speak to at least one more person before making a final decision, which could result in him missing out.
