IT was to be no dream exit for East Lancs professional Shanan Stewart as he headed home to New Zealand on the back of a defeat.

Stewart, who has been dogged by a persistent hernia problem for much of the season, claimed five victims at Alexandra Meadows, but that wasn't enough to stop Haslingden who won by four wickets.

He also made 68 with the bat.

But David Bandy stole the show with an unbeaten 106, helping Haslingden pass East Lancs' 233-7 total.

After taking over at the top of the Lancashire League on Saturday, Rawtenstall extend-ed their advantage with a second successive victory over Nelson in two days.

New Zealander Nathan McCullum enjoyed more success than his fellow countrymen did against England, claiming four wickets and adding 44 with the bat.

But the bowling performance of the day came over at Acre Bottom as Ramsbottom sub pro Babar Naeem finished with figures of 8-32 to skittle Todmorden out for just 107.

Rammy had earlier posted a total of 179 all out, despite a middle order collapse.

Lowerhouse completed a comfortable double over Enfield with a 94 run victory, an opening stand of 94 between Will Driver (52) and Joe Hawke (33) doing the damage.

Accrington suffered only their second defeat of the season as Burnley gained revenge for their defeat on Saturday.

Daniel Pickup did most of the hard work with a knock of 115 as the hosts won by 76 runs at Turf Moor.

Rishton was another team with revenge on mind - and didn't they get it, as they hammered Colne by 174 runs at the Horsfield.
