Burnley have revealed the club have been handed an allocation of 2,000 tickets for next month’s East Lancashire derby at Ewood Park.

The game was re-arranged for Tuesday, April 25 after both sides made it into the FA Cup quarter finals, with the fixture having previously been scheduled for Sunday, March 19.

The allocation is the least that Rovers could give the Clarets, with EFL rules stating that away sides must be handed at least 10 per cent of the stadium capacity, or 2,000, whichever number is lower.

The 2,000 fans will be situated in the lower tier of the Darwen End, with tickets priced at £30 for adults.

It is a similar allocation to the one that Rovers were given for the game at Turf Moor in November.

The Clarets have also announced that 250 hospitality tickets will be made available.

As per the game at Turf Moor, coach travel will not be mandatory, with no ‘bubble’ restrictions.

Burnley’s announcement read: “Due to anticipated demand for the general admission tickets, it is likely that they will only be available to season ticket holders who have over 6,000 points.

“Hospitality tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis directly through Blackburn Rovers (01254 508008 or hospitality@rovers.co.uk).

“Based on feedback on the sales process for recent away games, general admission tickets for this game will be run as a ballot to make it as fair as possible for all fans that meet the 6,000-point criteria. Everyone wanting to purchase a general admission ticket will have to enter the ballot.

“Customers that are eligible for the ballot will have between 10am on Thursday (March 23) and midnight on Sunday (March 26) to register.

“Each supporter can request one (1) ticket per clarets number and a maximum request of four (4) tickets per order, everyone entering the ballot must have 6,000 points and be a valid 2022/23 season ticket holder.

“The ballot will take place on Monday (March 27) and successful supporters will be emailed at midday on Tuesday (March 28) to inform them of the outcome.

“These supporters will then have 24 hours to purchase their tickets otherwise, they will be reallocated to other people unsuccessful in the original ballot. Please make sure you check junk folders to ensure you don’t miss out if successful.

“Once informed, successful applicants will be able to purchase tickets in the usual method.

“All general admission tickets will need to be collected from the Turf Moor ticket office in advance of the game and photo ID in the name of the person making the booking, will be required.”

It will be the first meeting at Ewood Park since the Carabao Cup second round fixture in August 2017, and a first league game since October 2015.
