A date has been set for Rovers’ FA Cup fifth round tie at Leicester City which will be shown on BBC iPlayer.

The tie will be played on Tuesday, February 28 at the King Power Stadium, with a 7.30pm kick-off.

Rovers booked their place in the fifth round for the first time in six years with victory at Birmingham City in the fourth round replay.

They made it beyond Norwich City in round three, a first victory in the competition since 2017, and set up a third meeting with Premier League opposition this season.

Rovers beat West Ham United in the Carabao Cup on penalties, after a 2-2 draw, before their league cup journey ended in the last 16 with defeat to Nottingham Forest.

The Foxes meanwhile have so far beaten Gillingham and Walsall to book their spot in round five.

Meanwhile, have had three games selected for Sky Sports coverage next month.

The East Lancashire derby had already been switched to Sunday, March 19 with a kick-off time of 12noon.

That was announced following an agreement between both clubs and Lancashire Police.

Sky Sports have now confirmed that the game will be shown live, however, that is subject to change.

The game clashes with FA Cup sixth round weekend, so if either club progresses to that stage, the game will have to be rearranged.

Burnley face Ipswich Town in a replay at Turf Moor next week, with the winner scheduled to face Sheffield Wednesday or Fleetwood Town in round five.

The other games moved are against Sheffield United and Stoke City.

The Blades visit Ewood Park on Saturday, March 4, with the game now having an earlier kick-off time of 12.30pm.

Meanwhile, Rovers will now travel to the bet365 Stadium to take on Alex Neil’s Stoke City on Friday, March 10 (8pm).

The international break follows the Burnley game, while March also includes a home game with Reading on Wednesday, March 15.
