A date has been set for Rovers’ FA Cup tie at Leicester City which will be made available on BBC iPlayer.

Rovers will travel to the King Power Stadium on Tuesday, February 28 (7.30pm).

Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side booked their spot in round five of the FA Cup for the first time since 2016/17 with victory over Birmingham City in Tuesday’s replay.

The winner of that tie already knew that the reward would be a trip to face the Foxes after Monday night’s draw.

Rovers are into the last 16 of the FA Cup having reached the same stage of the Carabao Cup.

It is the third Premier League opponent Rovers will have faced this season having overcome West Ham United on penalties, after a 2-2 draw at the London Stadium, before being knocked out of the league cup by Nottingham Forest.

Ticket details will be release in due course.

Meanwhile, Rovers have had three games selected for Sky Sports coverage next month.

The East Lancashire derby had already been switched to Sunday, March 19 with a kick-off time of 12noon.

That was announced following an agreement between both clubs and Lancashire Police.

Sky Sports have now confirmed that the game will be shown live, however, that is subject to change.

The game clashes with FA Cup sixth round weekend, so if either club progresses to that stage, the game will have to be rearranged.

Rovers made sure of their spot in round, which set up a trip to Leicester City, with victory in their replay at Birmingham City on Tuesday.

Burnley face Ipswich Town in a replay at Turf Moor next week, with the winner scheduled to face Sheffield Wednesday or Fleetwood Town in round five.

The other games moved are against Sheffield United and Stoke City.

The Blades visit Ewood Park on Saturday, March 4, with the game now having an earlier kick-off time of 12.30pm.

Meanwhile, Rovers will now travel to the bet365 Stadium to take on Alex Neil’s Stoke City on Friday, March 10 (8pm).

The international break follows the Burnley game, while March also includes a home game with Reading on Wednesday, March 15.
