Rovers have tonight confirmed the signing of Sorba Thomas.

The winger joins on loan from Huddersfield Town for the remainder of the season.

Thomas, who today celebrates his 24th birthday, becomes the club’s first signing of the January transfer window.

There is no option to buy in the deal.

He joins having played 23 times in the first half of the season for Huddersfield Town, claiming six assists.

Thomas was a key part of the Terriers’ run to the play-off final last season, claiming 12 assists.

His form saw him make his debut for Wales, with seven caps in all, which included featuring off the bench in the World Cup game with USA.

Thomas has played 83 times in all for Huddersfield since joining from Boreham Wood in January 2021.

He will be unavailable for this weekend’s FA Cup tie with Birmingham City having already featured in the competition for his parent club.
