Two of Rovers’ upcoming matches have been selected for Sky Sports coverage.

Rovers will return to action from the month-long break for the World Cup with a home game against Preston North End on Saturday, December 10.

That has been selected for television coverage and has been re-assigned a 12noon kick-off time.

It will be the second successive match on Sky Sports for Rovers, with the trip to Burnley on Sunday, November 13 also to be shown live.

After that comes the month-long break for the World Cup, with Rovers then facing another local fixture with Preston due at Ewood Park on Saturday, December 10.

Also chosen is Rovers’ final fixture before Christmas, the trip to Norwich City.

The game will still take place on Saturday, December 17 but will now get under way at 5.30pm.

Rovers did the double over North End last season, winning the Ewood fixture 1-0 before an impressive 4-1 win at Deepdale in April, a game that was also shown live on Sky Sports.

They drew 1-1 in their last visit to Norwich City in March 2021, thanks to a Sam Gallagher equaliser but were beaten 2-1 by the Canaries in April 2020, a game that was also shown on Sky Sports as the hosts sealed promotion back to the Premier League.

Rovers are seven without a win at Carrow Road, their last victory coming courtesy of an Egil Ostenstad double in August 1999.
