Rovers’ busy fixture list continues with a trip to North West neighbours Wigan Athletic in front of the TV cameras.

Jon Dahl Tomasson’s men enter the game in high spirits following a convincing 3-0 win against Rotherham United at the weekend thanks.

They currently sit seventh in the Championship table, having taken 21 points from their opening 13 matches.

Meanwhile, the Latics are in 16th place as they aim to build on last season’s promotion from League One.

When and where is the game being played?

The Championship fixture takes place at the DW Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 7:45pm. The game was initially meant to take place last month but was postponed as mark of respect following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Wigan recorded a 3-2 victory when the sides last met back in January despite goals from Reda Khadra and Daniel Ayala.

Rovers' last win in the fixture came in March 2019, with Danny Graham bagging a brace and Bradley Dack also getting on the scoresheet.
