Former Burnley boss Sean Dyche is among the favourites for the vacant West Brom job.

The Baggies have parted ways with Steve Bruce following a poor start to the campaign - they currently sit 22nd in the Championship table and are without a win in their last nine matches in all competitions.

Backroom staff Steve Agnew, Stephen Clemence and Alex Bruce have also left the club, with Under-21s boss Richard Beale taking up the position of interim boss at the Hawthorns.

A goalless draw against Luton Town at the weekend proved to be the final straw for Bruce and company.

“The club would like to place on record its thanks to Steve Bruce and his coaching staff for their efforts since arriving in February,” read an official statement.

“The process of recruiting a new manager is now under way and an appointment will be confirmed in due course.”

Dyche is currently the third-favourite to replace Bruce in the hot seat, according to SkyBet’s odds at the time of writing.

The 51-year-old has been out of management since his departure from Turf Moor back in April after nearly a decade at the club.

Chris Wilder is the current favourite for the position following his recent departure from Middlesbrough.

The 55-year-old guided Sheffield United to promotion to the Premier League in 2019 and achieved a ninth-place finish the following season.

Roy Keane and Scott Parker also rank highly, while the likes of Rob Edwards, Carlos Corberan, Mark Robins and Anthony Barry are also included.
