Leicester City will reportedly consider former Burnley boss Sean Dyche should Brendan Rodgers depart the club.

Rodgers’ future is uncertain following a poor start to the season, having picked up just one point from their opening seven matches.

The Foxes currently sit at the foot of the Premier League table following Saturday’s 6-2 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.

Dyche has been away from management since he was sacked by Burnley in April as the club aimed to escape relegation from the top-flight.

The 51-year-old spent nearly a decade in the Turf Moor hot seat, twice winning promotion from the Championship and even earning European qualification.

According to The Telegraph, Dyche is on Leicester’s radar due to his experience at Premier League level and availability as a free agent.

The former Burnley boss has also been linked with the Cardiff City job following Steve Morison’s departure.

The Welsh club parted company with Morison after losing five of their opening 10 league matches since the start of the campaign.

An official statement read: "We’d like to thank Steve for his efforts during his time at Cardiff City, stabilising the first team last season and helping to evolve our squad in line with the club’s philosophy this summer."

Dyche and Luton Town chief Nathan Jones have been installed as the early frontrunners in the bookies’ latest odds.

Neil Warnock, Tony Pulis and Paul Warne are also among the names listed to succeed Morison at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The Clarets’ next fixture is a trip to the Bluebirds on Saturday, October 1 after the international break.

Vincent Kompany’s men are currently fourth in the table following Saturday’s 2-1 win against Bristol City thanks to goals from Manuel Benson and Jay Rodriguez either side of half-time.
