Andrew Flintoff has been named in Lancashire's 12-man squad to play Surrey at The Brit Oval starting Wednesday in the county's opening LV County Championship match.
Flintoff has played little cricket since his fourth ankle operation in October but is hoping to be back in England's test squad for the series against New Zealand.
The full squad is: Paul Horton, Iain Sutcliffe, Mal Loye, Brad Hodge, Stuart Law (Cpt), Andrew Flintoff, Luke Sutton (Wkt), Steven Croft, Glen Chapple, Sajid Mahmood, Oliver Newby and Gary Keedy James Anderson is not available as he is being rested by the ECB, while Dominic Cork is out with a side strain
