BLACKBURN Rovers boss Mark Hughes admits his side were architects of their own downfall at Anfield.
Roque Santa Cruz and Ryan Nelsen were guilty of poor defensive clearances that led to Liverpool's opening two goals.
Hughes said: "If you have consecutive errors, invariably it leads to your team conceding goals and that's what happened."
