GOALS in either half for Wrexham condemned Burnley Reserves to back-to-back defeats.
Chances were at a premium until midway through the first half when Alex MacDonald and Mark Randall went close for the Clarets.
Wrexham responded by taking the lead just before the half-hour when Josh Johnson swung an inviting ball in from the right, Chris Lynch managed to get his head to it but Alex Darlington followed up to nod the ball over Gabor Kiraly.
Burnley were forced into a change in the 38th minute when Alex-Ray Harvey limped off after going down midway inside the Wrexham half.
Kiraly had a rush of blood early in the first half when he came out of his area to challenge the onrushing Darlington, and was lucky to escape with just a yellow card when he dragged the striker down.
Darlington went on to take advantage of a static defence and added his second with a simple finish from close range.
