THERE were so many pleasing aspects from Monday's 4-1 win over Puma Youth Alliance League leaders Walsall.
The Midlands club were reduced to 10 men midway through the first half, but even playing against a full 11, we were the better side after starting strongly and continuing in that fashion.
Hopefully, that will stand us in good stead for a hectic run-in, with Oldham to come on Saturday and then Wigan on Monday in the semi-final of the Lancashire Youth Cup.
We have almost completed our search for next year's intake.
We've got a number of local lads in the youth team at the moment and ready to play in the claret and blue I'm sure, because they are Burnley supporters. They feel a sense of pride because it's their own town.
But they could come from Mars - it doesn't matter.
Players come in across the board and once they get connected with Burnley FC, they are equally proud to wear the badge.
