ROBBIE Blake insists Burnley must maintain their fight to the finish.

The Clarets striker was disappointed to leave Carrow Road with nothing, after Norwich scored in the first and last minute to ease their relegation fears.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, Burnley's slim play-offs hopes faded further following a third defeat in four games.

"It was a really bad start from us. To concede our goal in the first minute and put ourselves on the back foot for 25 minutes was disappointing," he said.

"I think we gradually got back into the game, but we were always pushing in the second half to try to get the equaliser and they go up the other end and made the game safe with a second goal.

"No disrespect to Norwich but I don't think they were a great side yet managed to beat us 2-0.

"We've gifted the first goal and were on the back foot from there.

"We've had a couple of chances to get the equaliser but it hasn't happened.

"They were nervy at the back, which the gaffer pointed out, and it's a bit frustrating that we didn't have more composure in front of goal.

"I think if we'd have had that we'd have got something out of the game.

"If we'd scored I think we could have gone on and won the game with a bit more confidence.

"But we were pushing at the end and got hit by a sucker punch with their second goal."

However, the 32-year-old has stressed that, while it is still mathematically possible for Burnley to work their way into the top six, they must battle to the end.

Although Wolves have two games in hand, while 10th-placed Crystal Palace travel to Stoke City tonight, Burnley currently remain just three points off the final play-off position.

But Blake knows nothing less than a win in each of their last four games will do.

"No draws, nothing. We've got to win," he said.

"It's going to be tough but while you've still got a chance there's every chance we can do it."
