TheClarets have been dealt a blow with the news that midfielder Chris McCann could be missing for up to three games with a thigh injury.
McCann was forced off early on during Tuesday night's defeat at Hull and Coyle admitted it was disappointing to lose the young Irishman.
He said: "I think he will miss a few games now which is a big blow because he's an integral part of what we're doing here.
"Chris felt a little thigh strain and he was getting a little pain further up so we've got to look at that.
"We've two or three others with niggling injuries, so it was very much a depleted squad in training (yesterday). But we'll look at that and we'll see what the best team to take the field is."
