Burnley have made Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Denis Franchi their 13th signing of the summer.

The Italian has put pen to paper over a three-year deal at Turf Moor with the option of a further 12 months and arrives for an undisclosed fee.

Franchi joined the French club from Udinese in the summer of 2019 and signed a professional contract in November 2020.

The 19-year-old has also represented his country from Under-17 to Under-20 level.

“I’m so happy to be here. It’s a new chapter for me, which I can’t wait to start,” he told the club’s website.

“I’m looking forward to meeting the fans, my new team-mates, the staff and the new journey ahead of me at Burnley.”

Vincent Kompany added: “We’re very pleased to welcome Denis to the squad. He’s an exciting young goalkeeper with a strong calibre of experience at a young age.

“Denis is an Italian youth international and will be a part of the long-term project at the club here.”

The Clarets are back in action on Saturday afternoon when they make the short journey to the DW Stadium to take on Wigan Athletic.
