SAM Durrant has signed for Sheffield Wednesday and will become part of their Under-23s set-up following his release by Rovers.
Durrant was one of the players let go by Rovers at the end of their contracts, but he has got himself fixed up with a move to the Owls.
The 20-year-old played 29 times for Rovers Under-23s, having graduated through the U23s following his arrival at the club from Liverpool as a scholar.
Durrant spent time on trial with the Owls, scoring a stunning goal in their game with Millwall back in May.
And he has impressed enough to earn himself a permanent contract.
His 13 appearances for Rovers U23s last term brought three assists.
No length of contract has been disclosed by Wednesday for Durrant who can operate off either flank.
