Burnley have “reached an agreement” to sign Standard Liege forward Jackson Muleka, according to reports in Belgium.

The 22-year-old impressed during a loan spell with Turkish side Kasimpasa last season, scoring 12 goals in 13 appearances.

Muleka also has experience on the international stage despite his youth, having represented the Republic of Congo.

The Clarets have agreed a fee in the region of 4million euros for the forward, according to Belgian outlet DH.

He is expected to sign a four-year deal at Turf Moor as Vincent Kompany continues to put his stamp on the squad following the arrivals of Scott Twine and Luke McNally.

Turkish giants Galatasaray and Besiktas have also been linked with a move for Muleka in recent weeks.

Burnley are currently light in numbers in attack, with Wout Weghorst set to leave Turf Moor while Matej Vydra’s future is still in doubt.

The report also claims that Standard Liege team-mate Samuel Bastien is likely to join the Clarets this summer.

The 25-year-old midfielder came through the ranks at Anderlecht and also had a spell at Chievo Verona before heading to returning to Belgium.

Bastien made 30 appearances last season as Standard Liege finished sixth in the Belgian top-flight and is also a Congolese international.

Kompany’s current midfield options include Jack Cork and Josh Brownhill, while Ashley Westwood remains sidelined after suffering a serious ankle injury.

Adam Phillips has also been training with the first team following a loan spell at League One side Morecambe last season.
