ROVERS have appointed Jon Dahl Tomasson as their new head coach, but what have fans had to say?
Tomasson has signed a three-year deal at Ewood Park and is set to be officially unveiled at a press conference later this week.
The 45-year-old arrives alongside assistant coach Remy Reijnierse and fitness director Ben Rosen. David Lowe, Ben Benson and Damien Johnson will all retain their current positions at the club.
Here is what supporters have said on social media since the appointment.
Welcome aboard Jon! An interesting appointment here’s to hoping we’ve pulled off a master stroke! We will all get behind you 100% 🔵⚪️

Welcome to Rovers JDT, hope you and Gregg continue the stability and progress Tony Mowbray brought to our club, and you can nurture our excellent Academy talent. A promising appointment, well done Rovers. Hope all fans get behind you in our challenging journey to the play offs.

Welcome JDT. As always time will tell if this is a good decision or not but I think it looks very positive and part of a (well-designed) long-term plan. I’m very hopeful this is a great step

That's a very smart move from Blackburn imo. Hope it works out for both parties.

Bold move by the club. Every appointment has its risk. Need 8 players in for me. Whether we keep BB for another year to get us goals or cash in him and back JDT is the question. #Rovers

Welcome Jon to the club, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. The club needs to regroup and see what JDT can bring to Ewood.
