BURNLEY head to Aston Villa on Thursday night in another important fixture in the Premier League relegation battle (KO 8pm).
The Clarets suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at Tottenham in their last outing, with Harry Kane scoring from the spot after a controversial handball decision.
Team news
Jay Rodriguez could return to the side after missing the last three matches with a hamstring problem.
James Tarkowski has a chance after having to watch from the sidelines over the weekend, while Ben Mee is also back on the grass.
Johann Berg Gudmundsson has also been training but Ashley Westwood, Matej Vydra and Erik Pieters remain sidelined.
Opposition lowdown
Villa enter the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace over the weekend, with Ollie Watkins getting on the scoresheet.
Steven Gerrard’s men are currently 14th in the Premier League table – 10 points above the Clarets with two games to go.
Burnley have faced the Midlands club 121 times in their history, with a record of 41 wins, 28 draws and 52 defeats.
The points were shared when the sides last met at Villa Park back in December 2020 following a goalless draw.
Last meeting
Villa recorded a 3-1 victory when the sides met at Turf Moor earlier this month following a clinical display.
Former Claret Danny Ings opened the scoring before Emiliano Buendia added a second on the half-hour mark.
Watkins wrapped up the victory early in the second half, with Maxwel Cornet pulling one back in stoppage time.
