ROVERS have confirmed that Tony Mowbray will leave Ewood Park after five years in the hotseat.
Mowbray leaves as the club's second-longest serving post-War manager, having taken charge of 267 games.
The 58-year-old led Rovers to promotion from League One in 2018 and departs after the club's highest finish in eight years.
Here is what fans had to say about his departure.
Thank you, gaffer. He'll forever have my thanks and respect for coming in and stabilising a sinking ship. He gave our fans hope, he gave us stability, he gave us some fantastic memories. Thank you for all of the memories, Tony, and good luck in the future.

TM brought a lot to the club in his 5 years in charge. Stability.. Engaged with the fans when the club was rock bottom and brought us back with players who cared.. 💙

Now lies big summer ahead, probably one with a lot of uncertainty. But change was needed! #rovers
Well, there it is. It’s official. No going back now. Tony has been an ever-increasingly divisive figure amongst supporters for a long time but there’s no denying that the club is in a much better place now than it was when he arrived. All the best for the future, Tony. #Rovers https://t.co/6YeeEj41AQ

I think ultimately this is the right decision for both parties, but the club have dealt with this poorly in the last few weeks. After 5 years of steady progress, Tony deserved better than the ending he received.

Tony took this job on as a sinking ship. Fine, we got relegated but we got up the first time of asking and now has developed a crop of players, who had us challenging for top 6. This man saved my club and for that I’m eternally grateful. Thank you for everything Tony Mowbray🔵⚪️
