ROVERS' hopes of making the play-offs came ot an end following a 3-0 defeat against bournemouth at Ewood Park.
Philip Billing scored twice nine minutes, with Dominic Solanke also getting on the scoresheet for the Cherries.
The result leaves Tony Mowbray's men ninth in the Championship table with one game to go before the end of the season.
Here is what fans had to say about the game.
Today exemplified the difference between a team that’s ready for the Premier League and a team that isn’t.

We huffed and puffed but we just didn’t have the quality to do too much.
Bournemouth do. And did.
They were able to pick us off.
It is what it is. #Rovers
A very typical end of season feel to that today and #Rovers looked very flat.#afcb were clinical and it was fairly straight forward for them. The gulf in the forward areas with Billing and Solanke was evident.

It will be an interesting game between them and Forest on Tuesday.
Don’t actually think the performance was that bad. They’re just a good side. Diaz should’ve / could’ve got at least one. But thought they were outstanding defensively. And clinical in front of goal. #Rovers

Genuinely feeling so flat. This season should have been so much more, and for TM’s tenure to fizzle out like this, after all he’s done for the club, hurts so much. I’ll be back next season, and the one after, you get the picture. #Rovers Til I Die 💙🤍

So underwhelming, we play the way we did against Preston then get battered at home by Bournemouth. The players looked tired, not motivated, just a shambles really. Let’s see what next season brings #rovers

Great season overall, brilliant effort #Rovers …

Disappointing second half of the season. #Rovers really had the chance for a crack at the Play Offs. Sadly, we’ve been poor in 2022 and the chance drifted away. We’ll finish higher than I expected at the start of the season but it’s a real missed opportunity.

So much promise. Ultimately no plan B once we had been found out cost us this season #rovers

The first time I’ve ever walked out of a football match! #Rovers
