BURNLEY are back in action on Saturday as they welcome league leaders Manchester City to Turf Moor (KO 3pm).

Sean Dyche’s men suffered a 2-0 defeat at relegation rivals Brentford in their last outing before the international break.

Team news

Burnley captain Ben Mee remains sidelined by a knee injury and could also miss next week's clash with Everton.

Nathan Collins misses out through suspension after being shown a red card against Brentford last time out.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Erik Pieters also miss out, but Matej Vydra could return to the squad.

Opposition lowdown

City currently have a one-point lead at the top of the table, having only lost three league games all season.

Pep Guardiola’s men are unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions following a 4-1 win at Southampton in the FA Cup in their last outing.

Burnley have faced the Sky Blues 108 times in their history, with a record of 30 wins, 25 draws and 53 defeats.

City ran out 2-0 winners when the sides met at Turf Moor last season after goals from Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling.

Last meeting

The Clarets suffered a 2-0 defeat when the sides met at the Etihad back in October despite a decent performance on the road.

Bernardo Silva put the hosts in front after 12 minutes, slotting home from close range after Nick Pope had saved Phil Foden’s effort.

Kevin de Bruyne added a second 20 minutes, finding the top corner with a ruthless strike from inside the box.
