FULHAM are keen to bring in Burnley and England goalkeeper Nick Pope over the summer, according to reports.

The London club are eight points clear at the top of the Championship table and look likely to make an immediate return to the top flight.

Marco Silva wants Pope to be his number one next season and is lining up a bid for the Burnley man, according to The Sun.

The Clarets would reportedly demand a fee around £20 million for the goalkeeper, but that could be negotiable if they fail to beat the drop.

Fulham are also said to be interested in a loan deal for Manchester United’s Dean Henderson but would prefer a permanent signing.

Marek Rodak is Silva’s current number one, with former Tottenham man Paulo Gazzaniga also featuring at times this season.

Pope’s consistent form in the Premier League in recent months earned him a recall to Gareth Southgate’s England squad.

The 29-year-old was an unused substitute in Saturday’s 2-1 win against Switzerland at Wembley and could be involved against the Ivory Coast on Tuesday night.

He has been capped seven times so far and is just one away from drawing level with Colin McDonald’s club record for a goalkeeper.

The Clarets are back in action on Saturday afternoon when they welcome league leaders Manchester City to Turf Moor (KO 3pm).

Sean Dyche’s men are currently 19th in the table – four points from safety with 11 matches still to play.
