BLACKBURN manager Mark Hughes could be ready to go Dutch as he looks to strengthen his squad before next week's transfer deadline.
The Rovers boss flew to the Netherlands earlier this week to watch the Eredivisie clash between AZ Alkmaar and NAC Breda.
Sources in Holland claim the Rovers chief could have been checking out AZ's attacking midfielder Moussa Dembélé, who caught the eye in his side's 2-1 defeat to Breda.
Hughes' only signing so far in the January window is teenage defender Johnny Flynn, who joined the club earlier this week from Ballymena in Northern Ireland.
However, with a week to go before the window shuts, the Rovers chief is keen to bolster his squad with at least one new face, and a new midfielder seems to be his top priority.
Rovers remain keen on Wigan Athletic's Jason Koumas, although they have yet to make a formal bid for the Welsh international.
And the former Newcastle and Portsmouth midfielder Amdy Faye is also on trial at Brockhall, with Hughes set to decide today whether to take his interest further, subject to FIFA approval.
