BURNLEY are set to make an improved offer for Oldham starlet Harry Vaughan, according to reports.

The Clarets reportedly had an initial bid for the 17-year-old turned down over the summer.

They are now set to make an offer above £200,000 for the attacking midfielder, according to The Sun.

QPR, Borussia Monchengladbach, Real Sociedad, FC Twente and FC Utrecht are also said to be chasing the youngster.

Vaughan made his senior debut at the age of 16 last year and has made six appearances for the Latics this season.

He has also represented the Republic of Ireland at Under-19 level and spent time training with Manchester City over the summer.

Oldham find themselves at the foot of the League Two table and owner Abdallah Lemsagam is reportedly keen to balance the books due to the financial impact of the pandemic.

The Clarets have also been linked with a move for Stoke City forward Tyrese Campbell as they aim to bolster their striking department following Chris Wood’s £25 million move to Newcastle.

Sean Dyche’s men find themselves at the foot of the Premier League table – three points behind 17th-placed Watford.

However, Dyche’s men have several games in hand on the sides around them after last night’s clash with Watford was postponed due to Covid cases and injuries.
