Rovers defender Tyler Magloire has secured a loan move to Northampton Town.

Magloire will spend the rest of the season at Sixfields after the two clubs reached an agreement.

The 23-year-old has made four Championship appearances this season but last of those came on October 2.

Magloire spent last season with Hartlepool United and Motherwell, while he also had a loan spell at Rochdale in 2019/20.

The central defender has played seven first-team appearances for Rovers, his debut coming in March 2019, but he is out of contract in the summer.

He was on the bench for the FA Cup defeat at Wigan Athletic and has also made two appearances for the Under-23s of late.

Magloire has now teamed up with the Cobblers and could make his debut against Sutton United on Saturday.

Northampton are pushing for promotion in League Two, sitting third in the fourth tier, under Jon Brady.

Rovers defender Scott Wharton spent a season with Northampton Town in 2019/20, helping the club to promotion via the play-offs.

Magloire’s move follows Hayden Carter’s switch to League One side Portsmouth last week.
