Rovers have had confirmation from Brighton & Hove Albion that loan duo Jan Paul van Hecke and Reda Khadra will spend the remainder of the season at Ewood Park.

The pair arrived at Rovers in August and have become mainstays in the side since the switch to 3-4-1-2 in November.

Khadra scored goal number four in his 16th appearance in the FA Cup tie at Wigan Athletic, while defender van Hecke has made 12 appearances.

The Lancashire Telegraph revealed earlier this month that Brighton were set to agree to the pair seeing out the loan deals that were agreed in August, despite Seagulls boss Graham Potter hinting that recalls could be afoot.

Brighton have since recalled some of their loan players but will allow the pair to see out the remainder of their loans at Rovers, with neither party exercising their recall clauses.

Rovers made four loan signings in the summer, with Leighton Clarkson having since returned to Liverpool after making seven appearances, while Ian Poveda is back at Leeds United after ankle surgery which threatens to rule him out of the remainder of the season.

Tony Mowbray is keen to fill the remaining loan spots available to him, with Hertha Berlin right back Deyovaisio Zeefuik set to arrive before the weekend trip to Cardiff City.
