QPR boss Mark Warburton has been impressed with the way Rovers have adapted to the loss of key players.

Bradley Dack is still recovering from his second ACL injury while after the sale of star man Adam Armstrong in the summer, it has been a new-look to the Rovers side this season.

Moving away from their possession-based approach of 2020/21, Tony Mowbray has opted for a counter-attacking style, and opposite number Warburton sees quality in the Rovers forward line.

He said: “Blackburn have some very good players, Brereton Diaz, Rothwell and Dolan to name a few and if you are below your best, you will get hurt. We have to make sure that we will deliver a good performance.

“The margins are so fine in this league.

“Tony has had to adapt, they have lost the likes of Dack and Armstrong but his teams will always be superbly organised, hardworking and will certainly pose us with some difficult questions.”

QPR come into the game at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium one point ahead of Rovers in the table, but reeling off the back of a 4-1 win to neighbours Fulham at the weekend.

Warburton is eyeing a response, but will have to do without captain Stefan Johansen who misses out through suspension.

He told his club’s website: “We have to get over Saturday. "We let ourselves down, especially in the last 20 minutes, having got level in the game it was disappointing for obvious reasons.

“We started the game slowly, we gave them too much respect, too much time, we were soft in places, and we found ourselves a goal down.

“To give away soft goals like that was poor - to be 1-1 and in the ascendancy to 3-1 down within 10 minutes was very disappointing.

“We can’t use the words like relentless, demanding and challenging and then just forget them. That’s what this division is, it demands from you every time you play. We were below our best, came back strongly, got ourselves level and then let ourselves down with 20 minutes to go and we paid the price at this level.”
