ROVERS were held to a draw against Coventry at Ewood Park despite leading 2-0 at the break.
Joe Rothwell opened the scoring before Sam Gallagher doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time.
But the visitors hit back through Tyler Walker and an unfortunate Thomas Kaminski own goal.
Here is what fans had to say about the game.
Why can't we just kill teams off!! @Rovers disappointing! #rovers ⚪🔵🌹

I'd have took a point before kick off. But chucking away a two goal lead is unacceptable. #Rovers

This is very frustrating. What I will say is that having illness RIP through the squad this week wouldn't have helped fitness levels. The Boys can put it right in midweek though #Rovers https://t.co/5YH6JAl0x8

Great first half... poor second half. Allowed ourselves to be bossed. Considering the number of players out, it's not an awful result but you would like to see us being able to hold on to being 2 up. Thought Van Hecke had a good start to his #Rovers career.

Completely in control of that until a sloppy mistake for their first goal and then all at sea.

How Brererton missed that header in stoppage time too I’ll never know. #Rovers
Today shows why it’ll be another mid table finish for #rovers again this season can’t keep throwing away 2-0 leads. But thought Edun & Rothwell had good games. Credit to Diaz for wanting to play 👏🏼⚽️

On a positive note, Jan Paul van Hecke looked pretty decent on his debut.
— Chris Martin (@ChrisMartin_93) October 16, 2021
And Joe Rothwell had a very good game.
As did Tayo Edun. Very solid.
Oh, and Ben Brereton Diaz got on.
That’s good enough for me. #Rovers
In isolation, a point at home against 3rd in the table is a decent result.

In reality, it’s the second time in a month that we’ve blown a 2-0 half time lead.
You simply can’t keep doing that if you harbour any ambitions of doing anything in this league…#Rovers
Same old story with #Rovers. Would have taken a point prior to kickoff but if we are going to compete at the top half of the table we can't continue to shed points like that.

Shouldn’t be losing two goal leads at home simple as, really frustrating, we started off the second half miles off it. One thing I will say though is whether at left back or in midfield Edun should be starting every game for us now, really good footballer 👍🏻 #rovers

Very poor second half by the #Rovers blowing a 2 goal lead again. They looked exhausted. Maybe the reported illness in the camp had an effect?
